The Gracie Creek Cabin is located at the northwest end of the Calamus Lake in the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills. Gracie Creek’s flow is fed by springs from the Ogallala aquifer, and the cabin looks down on the creek as it passes into the Calamus Lake. With 2,300 square feet, 6 bedrooms (9 queen or full beds), and 3 full bathrooms, Gracie Creek Cabin is ideal for a multi party vacation.
The Cabin is perfectly located for easy access to the Calamus lake for boating or water play. It’s also adjacent to the Calamus River for a day of canoeing, tubing, or tanking through the sandhills! Every season has an appeal: bird watching (prairie chickens, bald eagles, pelicans, etc.), hunting (deer, duck, pheasant, dove, quail, goose), horseback riding, lake and river activities and of course Nebraska’s Big Rodeo every July. You can view directly up Gracie Creek to take in the amazing sun sets or watch the light shimmer off of Gracie Creek Pond. Dine in Style
The Gracie Creek Cabin kitchen has everything you’ll need to accomodate your dining pleasures. A gas grill is provided along with an oven, and all cookware. Of course, if you’d like to make life a bit simpler… head into Burwell or Taylor to enjoy many great dining options! (see recommendations under the dining options section)
Bedrooms
A Unique Style to Every Room
With 6 bedrooms, the Gracie Creek Cabin can easily accomodate 15+ people. The master bedroom has a full master bathroom, vaulted wood ceilings and a deck with breath taking views. There are two more bedrooms on the main floor with queen size beds, each room with unique appeal. In the basement are three bedrooms… 2 fairly typical with a queen and full mattresses. And then the “Bunk Room”. This room provides two sets of full over full beds… a kid’s paradise!
Family Room
Plenty of room to move
In the basement of the Gracie Creek Cabin is the large family room. This area is perfect for watching a movie on the 68 inch TV or a game of foosball! Also, under the steps is the kids’ play zone. With dutch doors and a window, the kids can play house, restaurant, or whatever their imagination desires! To note, the GCC does not have satellite or cable so come prepared with movies and family games.
Bathrooms
Cleaning up after a fun day at the lake
Enjoy rinsing or take a shower under the stars using the newly added outdoor shower. Plus three full bathrooms… need I say more! You’ll have plenty of facilities to accommodate your gathering.

Rates for Stay
Peak season rates range from $300-$400 per night depending on specific dates, weekday versus weekend, and the length of your stay. The more nights you reserve, the more you save per night! The owner has the right to request date alterations to avoid open dates during the summer months.
Parties of more than 15 will incur a modest fee increase for extra maintenance and supplies.
A deposit of $250 is required to hold your reservation and is applied toward your total. A credit card is kept on file in case damage is incurred during your stay.
A cleaning fee of $90 is applied to each stay.
